Do I need a referral?
No, you’re welcome to book directly. If you’d like to claim the Medicare rebate, you’ll need a referral from your GP or optometrist. Ask them to send it to us before your appointment, or bring it with you on the day.
Your Appointment
Please see below list of information we require you bring with you to the first appointment:
- GP or optometrist referral (if applicable)
- Optometrist and GP contact details
- Current glasses
- Medicare Card
- Medication and allergy information
- Any drops you are using
- Private health insurance information
- Driver and sun glasses if applicable
The first appointment
- Please allow around 2 hours for the first appointment
- Depending on the reason for your visit, scans, images and field testing may occur
- Your pupils will be dilated, which will make reading difficult for 2-3 hours
- It is recommended that you not drive for 2-3 hours after your appointment
